I think the last few days have been the best for a long time! I love summer! Not the heat as such (considering I have “warm” blood, that’s strange) as I don’t do to well with heat! Just the sun in general gives an amazing feel good atmosphere and makes me super productive! I am fortunate that looking after my daughter single handedly my mum and step dad will watch my daughter for me for one night a week so I can still go out now and again and do whatever it is I feel like doing that night.. so we decided to change it up. Change it up in my sense anyway, this week could be fairly normal for other folks!
This week me and some of my closest friends (also some new ones) decided to go bowling! Something that is a rarity in my life as before I had my daughter I spent a lot of my free time in pubs (NAUGHTY). I really, really enjoyed it! It was so nice to just relax with some fantastic people and do something that we all don’t do that often. I think I’m the only person who doesn’t, or didn’t know just how expensive bowling is as I think I had a mini heart attack when we payed for our lane…
That night I got to stay at my boyfriends house too which is also, something that doesn’t happen too often! While he works nights and I have Esme we do not get to see each other a lot which really sucks and we HATE. But lucky me I got to go bowling AND stay at my boyfriends!! To top it all off, when I woke up in the morning he made me fresh pancakes and had some roses waiting for me. Have I ever mentioned I have the best boyfriend ever?
On Friday, it was my daughters last day at nursery before the holidays and they had a GORGEOUS little party with a bouncy castle, party food and games all for the amazing cost of just £1. She just walked in without even turning around and was on tat castle before I could even leave. When I went to collect her the nursery nurses were praising her to high heaven and saying how much fun she had had! There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing my little girl enjoying herself and knowing she is 100% happy. Just hearing that he had had a wonderful time made my day completely and hearing her telling me everything she had done that day in her own 2 year old gibberish sentences made my head and heart swell. For the rest of that day we just drew silly drawings in the garden with chalk and watched toy story!
Today was my mums birthday and we all went out for the day to Twycross Zoo! From the day before I had been psyching Esme up telling her she was going to see the penguins and the giraffes and she was so excited when we got there she started demanding penguins! Can you believe for two fish and chips it costs £15?! extortion!!! It doesn’t matter how many times we go to the zoo we are always transfixed by the animals. They’re so majestic and beautiful you can’t help but gawp at them ! Esme fell in love with the otters and loved the small waterpark they have there!! Shes such a shy little girl but once she got into it she didn’t want to come out! Today was exactly what every one of us needed, a fun filled day out with no stresses.
